What are the Porn Star Production Wages

Porn stars a rare commodity in this day and age. How many people have you met and asked what they do for a job and they reply “Porn Star” well with us i assume it’s higher then the general populace but while there is not a huge amount of porn stars per 100,000 people, the adult industry is BOOMING.

Three things will always sell:

  1. Sex
  2. Drugs
  3. Weapons

Luckily we live in a day and age where sex and adult films aren’t as taboo as they once were.

So let’s check out what it is to be a porn star, how to become one and the average day in the life of being a porn star.

Letting people watch you have sex is a huge let in to your private life but going into a daily life they are much like anybody else, they enjoy music, hanging with friends and generally just being a normal person, working out, shopping, it’s just another job from what I’ve gathered.

A lot of people get into porn for different reasons ranging from “It looked like fun” all the way to “sexual empowerment and self identification”

While it’s not as taboo as it used to be a lot of notable porn stars, Stoya for example still cop a lot of hate and insults due to being not what some people want, but hey she was having fun and doing what she loved, that’s all that matters.

The main complaint I’ve read from major porn stars against porn is the fact that the porn star world is heavily male dominant especially in directing and editing.

Being in porn can alter relationships with not only partners but family and friends, but if people don’t accept your choices you don’t need them around, i would not have an issue if my partner was in porn due to the fact that it’s basically all an act, an illusion.

Males get paid significantly less for porn due to there being a higher demand for female actors, being a male porn star is harder due to the fact that they have to keep it hard basically on cue and for two to three hours as they shoot different shots so it would be completely strenuous, especially given the circumstances, what if they’re working in a hard environment or cold environment (we’ve all been there in the cold fellas) Most porn stars never receive royalties from their porno’s either, they receive a once off payment which can be hard especially if you’re in a blockbuster such as Pirates or Nurses (digital playground)

But as I’ve mentioned before finding a partner or even a job during or after porn can be hard because in some cases it’s still taboo and a lot of people can’t deal with the fact that their partner is sleeping with others, it’s definitely not a job for the lonely or vulnerable.

STD Tests every 14 days is a general rule as well, eating well and working out are major roles too especially for the females as there is a lot of vision on them and they can lose roles due to how they look.

New porn stars generally get taken advantage of for instance they might book a vaginal boy-girl scene and the new porn star rocks up and it’s an anal scene, things like that happen which is sad.

They definitely deserve more respect and recognition than they get.
As we all know the porn business is a volatile one and new people get replaced every 6 months by someone else unless they can cater to everyone, so it is a cutthroat industry.

Male performers

Men might be a critical part of porn films, but this is one industry where the balance of pay certainly leans toward women.

With men, there’s no pay differential depending on the sex act. Generally, male performers receive a fixed amount per scene or day, depending on how the shoot was booked. And while there are a few top tier actors, such as Manuel Ferrara, who command top dollar, most earn considerably less.

In general, males average $500-$600 per scene or day. Better known male performers can earn $700-$900; superstars up to $1,500.
